Hello there, I'm Katherine and managing director of The Cutting Garden.  As a non-hairdressing salon owner, I enjoy spending my day welcoming customers to the salon and finding new ways to make your experiences with us the very best they can be.  My passion lies in making sure our salon standard is maintained at its 5* rating with professionalism and friendliness at its heart.  I look forward to your next visit in-salon or at one of our new client evenings. 

Heidi
Probably recognised as "The face and voice of The Cutting Garden".  Heidi is likely to be your first point of contact at the salon as she plays a dual role as both receptionist and Manageress.  She is a fully qualified hairdresser, having been trained by our own nightschool, and is ready to assist you achieve "the look and feel of your hair" in any way she can.

Adam
Adam is our "cheeky chappy".  He is a very creative stylist with a sense of fun but still highly focused on his career having just completed his fifth year of hairdressing.  Adam is extremely talented with his styling skills including hair-ups and blow drying.  He is the stylist to request if you are looking for a dramatic cat-walk style; on a night out for example.  However, he is equally good at all other aspects of hairdressing and is hoping to get into competition work in the very near future.  Adam is also one of our highly skilled and dedicated Nightschool trainers.

Alison
Alison is always "on the go"....she thinks fast, moves fast and works effeciently whilst maintaining extremely high standards.  Alison has a wealth of experience; having joined the Cutting Garden team in its early years.  Cutting is her preferred area and she particularly understands the specialist needs of clients with naturally curly hair.  Her work is in high demand by people with busy lives so booking is recommended.  Alison works Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternate Saturdays.

 

Becky
Becky started at the Cutting Garden as an apprentice several years ago and is now a qualified stylist and one of our retail experts.  Unsure of what homecare products you need to re-create your look?  Just ask Becky!  (Becky is currently away on Maternity until May 2012).

 

Donna
Donna has been in the hairdressing industry for 9 years and over this time has combined her knowledge and experience to become an extremely popular stylist.  She is in hot demand with clients who would especially like to make the most of her highlighting skills.  Donna is a perfectionist and because of this her appointments may take slightly longer.  She pays strict attention to detail and makes sure her work is up to her exacting standards.

Hayley D
Hayley is a teacher in our very own training school.  She has "grown up" with The Cutting Garden having started here as an apprentice 10yrs ago.  Over the years she has become a highlighting expert and it is this wealth of colouring knowledge and experience that she is passing on to our next generation of young stylists.

Hayley T
Hayley started as a Saturday girl when she was 14yrs old, then went on to do an apprenticeship when she left school and so now has over 13 years hairdressing experience.  She has been professionally trained to be a colour educator by our colour house "Keune", based in Holland. This experience means that Hayley is an expert colourist and accomplished stylist who works with the team on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  Our younger stylists have benefitted from her experience through ongoing observation of her work.  To avoid any disappointment, please book a few weeks in advance as she is often fully booked.  

 

Jemma P
"Little Jemma" as she is otherwise known, has been with the Cutting Garden since her career started 10 years ago.  She is popular with ladies and gentlemen alike and is always keen to keep her cutting, colouring and styling up to date with the latest trends at our ongoing, in-house, post-qualification training. 

Jemma S
Jemma is an excellent young stylist, always smiling and eager to please her clients.  She was trained through our nightschool and completed her training four years ago.  Jemma is fantastic at Gents hairdressing and really enjoys helping ladies to select and create modern styles using the latest colour and cutting techniques.  We are pleased to announce that Jemma has now returned to work following the birth of her beautiful baby boy!

 

Jess
Jess is a fantastic stylist for you if you are looking for well-excecuted haircuts or a hair-up with creative flair.  Having been on a specialist course for gents hair she is supurb at creating modern styles for men and has been hairdressing from just 14yrs old!  Jess is one of our hair-extension specialists and can advise you on our range of Dream Girl hair extensions if you are looking for something extra special for your nights out.  Jess works Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Kirsty
A young, enthusiastic stylist with all the current skills to perform hair colouring and cutting following all the latest trends and techniques.  Kirsty completed an extra course in gents barbering last year and is extremely talented in this area of hairdressing.  She is becoming extremely popular as clients love her peaceful nature and excellent hairdressing.

Linda
Our founder stylist.  Linda has seen the salon change and develop through the ages.  She started at the salon as a junior stylist under the salon's former owner in the 1980's and has been committed to her career in The Cutting Garden ever since.  Linda is a true "people's person" and has the skills to take todays' hairstyle fashion trends and make them relevant to her clients.  Linda's knack of adaptation of current hairstyles is the reason why so many of her clientele have stuck with her right from the early days. 

 

Lisa
A superstar when it comes to hair up.  If you are looking for a hairdresser for your wedding or prom, look no further!  Hair-up is Lisa's passion, check out her portfolio of work on your next visit.  Lisa is also fully trained and experienced in all aspects of hairdressing should you opt for a colour change or perhaps are interested in our 100% human hair extension services. 

Stacey
Stacey is known as our "sweet stylist".  She is calm and centered, paying extra attention to your requests and happy to discuss your needs at length to ensure she can meet your colour or cut expectations.  Stacey qualified 4 years ago and juggles her career alongside her passion for her horse and riding out in our beautiful countryside.

Vicky L
Vicky is a very popular stylist as she believes in quality hairdressing based on a good working knowledge of colours and attention to detail in the accuracy of every cut.  Vicky is also one of our hair-up specialists and is often involved in doing wedding hair or prom work. 

Vicky S
Otherwise known as "Spanish Vicky" due to her dual language capabililties.  She is an experienced stylist with skills developed over many years of hairdressing with The Cutting Garden.  Vicky now works 9.30am to 2.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and alternate Fridays as she juggles her career with a busy family life.  Vicky S is our only stylist who performs perms...please book for a free perm consultation prior to your perm appointment.
