The Cutting Garden enjoys a reputation in Plymouth for great styling, friendly customer care and affordable prices. 21 years after its foundation by Bernard Roper it changed hands. Graham Bates, who worked for Bernard for 2.5 years returned from a year’s travelling around the world to take over the business and allow Mr Roper to retire.

Graham and his wife Katherine (pictured right) left the UK in February 2005 with permits to work in either the USA or Australia. Despite searching every major coastal town on two other continents, they found that there really is “No place like home” and returned to Plymouth!

We provide friendly salons where clients do not feel intimidated when they come in. The stylists are very proud of the welcoming atmosphere of the salons.

The Cutting Garden and CG2 stock the full range of Tigi, Nexxus, Paul Mitchell and Redken Hair care products. We offer free consultations across both salons on colour choices, hair cutting, hair extensions or wedding hair. Our stylists are of all ages and as such are able to provide an extremely wide range of hairstyles to people of all ages and professions.

A Computer appointment system links both salons. Clients who register their email details can receive notifications of new products and services.
